Hi folks

My sons 206 broke down the other night after a bit of trouble shooting today i found the tank to be empty but the gauge reading 1/4

had the sender out and moved the float but it made no difference, even with the sender unit disconnected it still reads a 1/4 tank

any one got any ideas? is it the gauge ?

have you tried taking the needle off and moving it so it shows empty? You could then put fuel in it and see if it moves up to where it should be.

Cheap fix if it works Wink

put £20 in it after we discovered it was dry and the needle never moved

is it a task getting the instrument cluster out then ?

not at all.

I would fill the tank up to the max then put the needle in at the max line. Its the easiest way for a fix and is pretty acurate

Go and stick £20 petrol in. My did this once. But when I next put some petrol in it sorted itself out and hasn't done it since.
