I have booked HLM Tuning for Saturday 26th May, this date fitted in best around car shows and their diary.
Important notes:
£35 for 3 runs Cash is preferred over card to avoid bank charges on their part
In order to accomodate us with enough staff, refreshments and alocated time I need to keep in touch with them as to how many cars we are bringing. Please put you name on the list if you are interested in putting your car on the dyno.
Interested members: (going on the rr)
1. Andrewxps
2. Iainlovatt
3. Charlie99
4. Liam-HuTcH
5. Danny.
6. Abzynthe
7. Davina
8. Robdob
10. Uz
11. Nate +1
Note: you don't have to worry about putting your name down if you are just turning up to spectate and socialise, the same goes for any +1s that aren't bringing a car to go on the rollers, the list is so I know how many people to book for
Due to the success of the last West Mids RR meet at HLM Tuning in October, I think we should get our heads together to organise a sequel!
We had a brilliant turn out last time and the dyno operators were busy from 9 till 5 with us. We had members from other parts of the country and non members which provided an interesting variety of cars
For now I'd like to know:
- How many people are initially interested
- What date(s) would be good for you (last time I set a deadline for discussing this before booking, and the date that suited the majority was booked)
- Which place we go to, shall we visit HLM Tuning again or try another rolling road place for comparison (must be within the West Midlands county, or local areas)
- What else we can do afterwards, visit a pub? go karting? Something that will be open after 5pm really
You don't have to have a 206 of course, feel free to invite others. The place we last went to said 20 cars in one day is about the limit, other car club members are welcome so long as 206info members make up a decent fraction of the group, last time was a good balance. The only way to ensure this is to get your names down on this thread! I would love to see another great turn out
The price per person last time was £35 for 3 runs, this will vary depending on where we go and possibly how many people we take, so whack your name on the list with how many +1s you will bring that also want their car tested
Interested members: (just attending)

I'd like some input on which dyno we should go to, and what you want to do afterwards
Once we have 15 members initally interested in going on the dyno, I will set a poll running for two weeks to decide which date to book for, PM everyone for confirmations and then book Last edited by Andrew on Mon Apr 16, 2012 1:35 pm; edited 1 time in total

#16: Re: West Midlands Rolling Road meet *PART 2* Author: Andrew, Location: Black Country Ay IPosted: Mon Apr 16, 2012 3:11 pm ---- Date is to be decided by a poll, although in order to make things happen and progress from the planning stage I want it to happen no later than 2 months time
I don't think these places open Sundays so it will be a Saturday as it is a universal day off. HLM Tuning is in Bromsgrove, and Dyno Daze is in Hinckley, venue yet to be confirmed as I'm waiting for more input.
HLM was £35 for 3 runs and air to fuel ratio included. Dyno Dayze is £30 for 2 runs and you have to pay £10 more for ait to fuel ratio
#17: Re: West Midlands Rolling Road meet *PART 2* Author: Barking, Location: sarcasm-in-shedloadsPosted: Mon Apr 16, 2012 3:22 pm ---- Dyno Daze opens specifically for car clubs on Sundays, they did for the Ford RST meet last July
#18: Re: West Midlands Rolling Road meet *PART 2* Author: Andrew, Location: Black Country Ay IPosted: Mon Apr 16, 2012 3:24 pm ---- If thats the case it might be worth considering despite the slight extra cost, I'm not inclined either way really its down to the majority of opinions
#19: Re: West Midlands Rolling Road meet *PART 2* Author: JordGJ, Location: Leeds / West MidlandsPosted: Mon Apr 16, 2012 3:31 pm ---- I vote bromsgrove as I live a couple of minutes away
#20: Re: West Midlands Rolling Road meet *PART 2* Author: robdob, Location: oxfordPosted: Mon Apr 16, 2012 3:33 pm ---- both an hr n half away for me :/
#21: Re: West Midlands Rolling Road meet *PART 2* Author: Andrew, Location: Black Country Ay IPosted: Mon Apr 16, 2012 4:03 pm ---- This is the West Midlands section my friend, you are always welcome to set up a thread in your area's regional section to organise a rolling road day local to you just phone a few places for quotes and get the interest going
Alternatively just go to this one, we had members come from a lot further away than Oxford last time and as far as I gather they enjoyed it

Bromsgrove's only short of an hour from me up the M5
#25: Re: West Midlands Rolling Road meet *PART 2* Author: Andrew, Location: Black Country Ay IPosted: Tue Apr 24, 2012 12:40 pm ---- There seems to be more interest in HLM Tuning again but I'm not receiving much input from people

#28: Re: West Midlands Rolling Road meet *PART 2* Author: Andrew, Location: Black Country Ay IPosted: Tue Apr 24, 2012 12:58 pm ---- HLM Tuning was £35 for 3 runs with air/fuel reading

What deal is everyone more keen on?
#29: Re: West Midlands Rolling Road meet *PART 2* Author: Liam-HuTcH, Location: PeterboroughPosted: Tue Apr 24, 2012 1:04 pm ---- surely the 3 runs are better, as the price worksout cheaper per run

#34: Re: West Midlands Rolling Road meet *PART 2* Author: Ciucur, Location: NorthamptonPosted: Tue May 01, 2012 5:37 am ---- I'm also interested in participating depending on the date. Also interested in putting my 1.4 on the dyno
#35: Re: West Midlands Rolling Road meet *PART 2* Author: Andrew, Location: Black Country Ay IPosted: Tue May 01, 2012 5:51 am ---- I've started a poll which will run for 3 days to decide where we go, that way we will end up going to the one that suits the majority
I'm not too worried about AWD dyno's, I can't think of many members on here that have an AWD car but if you want to go to that one, get voting!
After the poll finishes I will phone the 'winning' company and ask what dates they have available for the forseeable future and post another poll to decide when we go
#36: Re: West Midlands Rolling Road meet *PART 2* Author: Andrew, Location: Black Country Ay IPosted: Tue May 01, 2012 5:56 am ---- For some reason the Mike Evands option didn't upload to the poll, my fault. Only date they had that didn't clash with shows, nobody gave me any input when I asked for it so I had to make a decision
I'm a little concerned by the lack of people wanting to go on the rollers vs. people wanting to spectate :/
#52: Re: HLM Tuning Meet *26th MAY* Author: Andrew, Location: Black Country Ay IPosted: Fri May 25, 2012 6:16 am ---- Don't forget this is tomorrow people, Ive phoned up to inform them of the numbers. If you haven't got back to me or want to go now is the time to let me know

#54: Re: HLM Tuning Meet *26th MAY* Author: Andrew, Location: Black Country Ay IPosted: Fri May 25, 2012 7:58 am ---- Thats an idea Nathan, raise the money by reading cars before they go on, how much would you be charging?
Advertise it on here an the facebook page mate
#55: Re: HLM Tuning Meet *26th MAY* Author: Abzynthe, Posted: Fri May 25, 2012 8:02 am ---- Id charge £10 each, but if there's a few then I can put the price down
