just got a engine diagnostic light come on the car .. but when i run a scan in pp it says presence of faults but .. when i try to open the engine ecu in pp2000 to look at it it just jumps me straight back to the scan screen .. anybody got any ideas why it wont let me into the ecu? all others are fine just engine ecu .. any help would be great as i'm sat in the car at this moment in time scratching my head Sad cheers

i think so aye but it used to let me into the engine ecu without any problems ... thought it would be that tho ... reckon this would be any good? just need a basic scanner just to tell me the fault www.ebay.co.uk/itm/V60...20c0978c77

It might do, what year is your 206? Is it multi or pre plexed? Peugots are very funny wity generic code readers, some cars can be read others cant.

Do you mean that you can view the fault but cant look at the additional details? If so,then that's becausethe details weren't logged.

no .. it comes up with presence of faults but when i click on the engine ecu it loads the next page but then bounces straight back again

Test via ecu rather than global test

tried that but says it dosnt know the ecu or sumthing about it being referenced ? sorry i'm being so vague but i'm doing this from memory lol and its not that good

lee .. your a legend sonna ! tested by ecu .. went on here www.peugeotlogic.com/w...incode.htm .. found mine .. and managed to get pp to read it .. 2 faults ..

Permanent Fault. Downstream oxygen sensor. Open circuit
Intermittent fault. adaptation of the quantity of air entering the manifold

so i'm guessing lambda sensor .... replace and both of these will be sorted?

Clear and re-read faults after 5mins of engine running and revving

cheers fella ! cleared the fault and gave it 5 minutes and it didnt come back on .. will get another test on the way to work 2moro .. am guessing if it comes back its the lambda sensor on the cat and its just a quick switcheroo ? (if its not seized on)
