hi when i removed my headunit from my car i noticed that on the ISO wireing loom there was a wire that was not going into the ISO connector. it was a white wire and it had its own little black connector on it :s

and ideas to what this wire could be?

sorry do not have any images of the wire but on the loom there's the ISO power wires, the speaker wires, and the stalk wire and then theirs this single white wire.

thanks

It's a switched live. Use it for your amp remote. I don't know what it's actually for.. But that is the best use for it.

Only comes on when the headunit is on btw.

but the white wire is not connected to the head unit so will it still be ok for the amp remote separate?

and also should i cut of the connector that is on the switched live (what ever that means :s) and connect the remote wire like that or with another connector.

thanks

I'm 99.9% sure its what I used. And it only ever came on when I turned on the headunit. This was a standard headunit btw.

And yeah, I cut it. Just do it safely so it doesn't short on anything. If you want to check its 12v, get a voltmeter and put black to any ground, red to that wire and check with the headunit off and on.

But as I said, that is the wire I used and it worked perfectly fine.
