#1: Knocking from rear after wheel/tire swap Author: DesignoSLK, Location: Kaiserslautern, GermanyPosted: Wed Apr 18, 2012 7:32 am ---- Hey Folks! A little baffled here.
Just swapped the winter tires/wheels for the summer ones and I somehow got a knocking sound coming from the rear when I steer slightly to the left. The frequency of the knock changes rate as I change speed.
These are the same wheels/tires setup from last summer (without issue), so nothing changed except me removing the old weights and rebalancing them. I did not have the knocking sound prior to the swap.
Also, I used a 2-post, 4-point lift with the lift points hitting where you would use the jack (which I've done in the past), could I have possibly bent something? Can't imagine the 206 weighing so much as to harm it.
Thanks in advance!

Yes, I have different bolts for the summer wheels, but I used them last year without issue. I'll get it back on the lift Friday, but I'm not driving it in the meantime. Hopefully it's obvious, and if it is, I'm sure I'll kick myself for it...then I'll let you guys kick me too.

Apparently I missed the ones on the rear driver's side. All 4 loose as a goose when I got it off the floor. Let the kicking commence.
