#16: Re: Emergency help needed please Author: DeadEyePaul, Location: Rugby,WarwickshirePosted: Fri Apr 20, 2012 2:42 pm ---- Sounds to me like a tracking problem. Unbalanced wheels would only cause horrible vibrations through the steering wheel and cause numbness in the hands and fingers.(I have felt this before)
#17: Re: Emergency help needed please Author: E5GDM, Location: EssexPosted: Fri Apr 20, 2012 3:57 pm ---- It could all be down to having 2nd hand tyres put on your car.
In future save up & get decent tyres.

if you have 2 different front tyre the traction will be different
#20: Re: Emergency help needed please Author: Lecktorious, Location: ScotlandPosted: Sat Apr 21, 2012 4:24 am ---- Swap the tyres around
#21: Re: Emergency help needed please Author: gaffa786, Location: 2 Places at oncePosted: Sat Apr 21, 2012 6:01 am ---- The drive shaft is broken
How much will i be looking at to get it fixed
#22: Re: Emergency help needed please Author: -Dave-, Location: North ManchesterPosted: Sat Apr 21, 2012 7:27 am ---- Pm Cartoonhead for a quote.
Two things I would advise is never use part worn tyres as you never know the history of them and if your going to use motorway's get breakdown cover, The company's the highways agency use charge over £100+ just to remove your car from the motorway.
#23: Re: Emergency help needed please Author: gaffa786, Location: 2 Places at oncePosted: Sun Apr 22, 2012 7:06 am ---- just had the tracking done and had the driver shaft changed on driver side. now the car does not turn when braking but the steering is still a bit loose sometimes the wheel moves left and right and it is still not straight at all times. while driving the car moves a bit left and right it self. its like sitting in a death trap.
any ideas what the problem could be? the wishbones are ok on both sides and there is no play in the wheels.
tire pressure for all 4 tires is at 32psi. wheels have been balanced. tires have been changed.
#24: Re: Emergency help needed please Author: gaffa786, Location: 2 Places at oncePosted: Wed Apr 25, 2012 3:15 pm ---- PROBLEM SORTED.
the wishbone on the passenger side had gone so had that replaced and had the tracking done again. working fine now.
thanks
