#1: Sticky rear caliper! Author: nellyhaggis, Location: SheffieldPosted: Sun Apr 22, 2012 3:44 am ---- My rear caliper on my 206 was gripping a little so I stripped it down, wound it in and out, cleaned up the discs and pads and put it back together.
It was ok for a couple of weeks now it's started again. This time it's worse as I only drove a couple of miles to work yesterday and it was smoking when I got there.
Someone told me it could be the handbrake cable but I checke and it's fine!
Someone else told me that the flexi cable from the mater cylinder could have collapsed inside so not releasing the pressure!
Anyone else had this trouble and did they manage to cure it?
I've got new discs and pads but I'm reluctant to put them on until I cure it.

did you wind the piston al the way out and back in 3-4 times, each time greasing it up?
i aslo got a file and sandpaper and smoothed the piston (when it was fuly out) never stuck again.
