#1: Radio Muting Out Author: JaneB, Location: EssexPosted: Sun Apr 22, 2012 12:40 pm ---- My 54 reg 206 diesel SW has its original radio which keeps "muting out" for 2 to 3 seconds. It displays "Ext Mute" and is very frustrating. Is this an "age thing" which is unlikely to be resolvable? Thanks.

I have subsequently tried to play a CD and the same thing happened - periods of silence with the Ext Mute message - and then it refused to spit the CD back out. Assume I'm going to have to face the rigmarole of a new radio/cd.
