#1: Whirring noise??? Author: karlosthejackal, Location: KentPosted: Thu Apr 26, 2012 8:03 am ---- Hi all
New to the forum, hope you can help
I am having problems with my other half's 206 (V reg 1.4 Petrol Auto 57K), loss of power, juddering, abnormal tickover etc. and i have searched this forum and obviously found out it could be a number of things!
We have a mechanic out previously who replaced the air intake hose as the smaller hose that connects to the air intake hose had sheared off as he couldn't find a fault on his laptop.
Worked fine for a week or so then the problem reappeared!
I thought that it may be the fuel filter that's blocked and needs replacing so i was looking at the location of the said filter when i heard a strange whirring noise under the car towards the rear.
This noise occurred every couple of minutes or so even though the ignition was switched off, could this have been the fuel pump or a fuel sender?
Any thoughts on what this noise could be or could it be causing my problems?
