#1: Uz's XSi - New Wheels. Yet Again... Author: Uz, Location: No Man's Land PostPosted: Mon Apr 30, 2012 9:40 am
    ----
So, Gutmann's came off last Monday as I've sent them to be re-refurbed on the 205 GTi in Sorrento Green powdercoat with Diamond Cut faces. So after a quick trip to Comp and a quick spray up, I got a set of Compomotive TH-Line TH1570 fitted with 15mm hubcentric spacers on the rear and 5mm spacers on the front. Car sits like so as it stands...

A marmite set of wheels I know, but non the less, let me know what you think Smile

Personally think you need to come lower on the front Uz to give it that aggressive nose down stance

Thanks for all the comments Smile Appreciate them. Quite surprised everyone likes the wheels as I had a few people say 'oh they look like hubcaps' etc.

Sam...I know what you mean, especially with it in the last picture where the back is looking lower than the front but I can't go any lower on the front. My coilovers are wound down fully. Next step would be to cut the helps in half but then I've got the problem of the manifold just breaking at the join under the engine. It's already 3" off the ground.

The back in real life does sit higher than the front by about 15-20mm but it's sat on a bit of a downhill slope. Will get another pic to show you what I mean.

Would like to come down a bit more all round.
