Im going to fit a oil pressure gauge but i need to put on the sender for it.
Now i have thought that the ideal place would put in a t-piece into the block where the oil temp switch is at the moment.
Question........ Where is this located on the block???
Would this work fine???
Any ideal what the thread size is so that i can get the t-piece???

Either a blanked-off threaded hole, or replacement of the oil-pressure switch with dual-purpose
temp&pressure or something.
Also look for an extra hanging connector in the lower engine bay.
You will need BSI update as well.

1) using an aftermarket seperate dial which takes it's signal directly from the sensor so to speak.
2) Many 206 clusters (dials unit) already have provision for temp readout. By updating the BSI
(cabin electronics control module under the steering wheel) you can add an extra sensor on a pre-existing
hole on the engine block and have a readout on the cluster. Most of the time though you have to change
the cluster as well to one that has this which is a hassle.
Or you can forget the whole thing and always take care of your oil quantity/quality etc.
I would recomend Total Quartz 9000 or Shell Helix Ultra 5W40, both fully synthetic but someone
might correct me on this for a 138.

Peugeot were kind enough to fit an oil pressure warning system to the car.When the red light comes on, the pressure is too low. Simple and effective so no point messing around with it really.

My car isnt a show car and no means ever will be! Its used as a daily hog, some spirited driving on a weekend and the odd gew track days. Soo there fore nothing wrong with being aware of what exactly going on.
As said in other threads each to there own. I like them n i want one so there it's going to be a smoked gauge so black when the engine is off and a stepper gauge. After market of course
Soo best option without messing with the bsi is to put in the t-peice where the oil temp sensor is on sump?? Or is there some where else i can attach to on the block???

You need to find the oil pressure sensor on the engine and put the t piece there.. If done properly then gauges look ok.
My ex's son decided to put one on his car, didn't know what he was doing . Next day I was sourcing a replacement engine as all the oil wason the outside of the engine block. The gauge was just an expensive dial on the dash by the time I finished fitting the engine. Looked better than the hole it would have left.
