Running Problems
-> 206 Problems

Hi everyone

I have a 206 W Reg. 1.4 Auto misfiring on 2 cylinders.

Mechanic has plugged the laptop in and it isn't showing a fault code.

Two of the plugs were black so the plugs and the coil pack were changed but still misfiring.

The mechanic seems to think its either an electrical problem or the ECU is kaput!

Anyone any ideas?

Could it be a relay?

Has your mechanic tested the injectors? When mine have gone before there was a miss fire and no engine management light showed so that would be the next thing i would check.

Also if the spark plugs that were fitted were NGK get your mechanic to change them for Bosch plugs, NGK plugs can often cause misfires.

Thanks Rich

He did a compression test and that was fine but I'm not sure if he checked the injectors.

I will give him a call tomorrow
