#1: Obd reader from eBay Author: Spiky, Location: CardiffPosted: Sat May 05, 2012 6:49 am ---- Looking for a cheap obd reader, to read any codes that maybe on my 206 from time to time
It's 2000 x 2.0L hdi
Which one do I need to get?
Anyone got any suggestions
I also have a 2006 focus c-max diesel, so would be ideal to read that too, If possible

The 206 you have being a year 2000 will need a more expensive code reader / tool as its not EOBD even though it has the same type of diagnostic socket.

When I looked pretty sure this was the cheapest decent kit to get - bearing in mind I just searched for it now so could be cheaper elsewhere
Don't know about only code readers as I always use a laptop

Cheers for info guys

Also cheap China s**te.
I'd rather pay a bit extra for quality when using tools of this nature!

#9: Re: Obd reader from eBay Author: Harry, Location: StaffordPosted: Sun May 06, 2012 2:13 pm ---- That will be an OBD-II, like said even though you have the same type of diagnostic socket you will need a PRE OBD-II scanner
#10: Re: Obd reader from eBay Author: Razor34, Location: CroydonPosted: Sun May 06, 2012 2:15 pm ---- Not a link as such as I got this from a private seller but this is the one I got:
