My son has a 7 year old 206 with about 55000 miles on the clock.
The clutch bite is right at the top of the pedal travel at the moment.
Is this adjustable?
Do 206 clutches usually last longer than 55000 miles?
Any help or advice would be gratefully recieved.

The petrol models have an automatic adjuster that can't be unadjusted - the cable needs to be replaced. The GTI is hydraulic and I think the diesel is too.

Easily yes BUT it depends on the operator.

I read in an earlier post that it could be time to replace the cable as it automatically adjusts in the petrol model. I just wondered i this could be confirmed please? It has done 126,00 miles and i've had it for 3 weeks

It is the case that with good use you might never have to replace the clutch/disk esp. on the
smaller engine models. The only reason I replaced mine at 90000 Km was to make it lighter
and help a sensitive left knee. It had plenty of life left in it as we expected when removed the old one.
I would say it wasn't even half-worn but the spring combs had hardened over time/use due to metal fatigue.
