We where talking to Turbo Technics last week & they quoted around £1100 to supply & fit a service / exchange unit.

DV6 turbo exchange isnt just bolt a new turbo on, there is a lot of other engine work that needs doing unless you want the replacement turbo to fail very quickly.

If you use the wrong grade of oil, you risk knackering the turbo. If it ain't broke, don't fix it (but on a DV6, I'd prepare for the worst Laughing )

Laughing

you need ACEA C2 or C3 oil (low ash)

and usually they only came in 5w/30.

you are not recommanded to use oil for let say TU5 or EW10 or DW10 engine.

Thumb Up

ESP is fine, but castrol edge comes in different grade so you better check the label.
