#1: **Spike's project ft pug1off** Author: spike_202, Location: West midsPosted: Sat Mar 20, 2010 4:55 pm ---- (NEW PICS NOW)
Hay all,
Some of you will remember my old project thread but with the bad news about the site going down I’ll have to do it again lol.
so in June 2007 I brought a 206 gti (2000),I didn’t do much at 1st it all ready had a powerflow cat back system so I just did a few small bits, bee sting areal, gti tax disc holder and some mist/spray washer jets.
Then I put in an audio system and that was it till I go the bug lol....
Big thanks to matt from pug1off for all the work and time he has spent on my car.
Thanks for reading and keep watching this as I’ll add new pics vids up as and when I have them.
some pics

well its from custom cages and you can pritty much tell them what you want
#4: Re: **Spike's Project** Author: Jamie, Location: Ring y0Posted: Sat Mar 20, 2010 5:29 pm ---- Ah right, I thought you were gonna make the bars etc...
#5: Re: **Spike's Project** Author: spike_202, Location: West midsPosted: Sat Mar 20, 2010 5:39 pm ---- haha noo noo, they just send it in a kit and you bolt it in the car
#6: Re: **Spike's Project** Author: Jamie, Location: Ring y0Posted: Sat Mar 20, 2010 5:40 pm ---- You still have to weld the mounts of "bolt in" cages
#7: Re: **Spike's Project** Author: spike_202, Location: West midsPosted: Sat Mar 20, 2010 5:49 pm ---- lol i know as it needs points to bolt to but i'll be leaving it in the capable hands of pug1off for all the work,
but for now im just getting the bigger injectors then a remap then that will do me for a while, till i get the funds to do the rest.
#8: Re: **Spike's Project** Author: Jamie, Location: Ring y0Posted: Sat Mar 20, 2010 5:52 pm ---- You sure you'll need 400+ cc injectors?
Is this going to be a "2nd car"? As with that engine spec, those cams, a full cage & buckets it's going to a pig to drive daily on the road. Have you thought about getting an LSD?
Jamie
#9: Re: **Spike's Project** Author: spike_202, Location: West midsPosted: Sat Mar 20, 2010 6:08 pm ---- i have had all that spec in my car for about Nealy 4months now and all is sweet and its a daily driver to.
i have spoken to matt about a quafe lsd but for now thats just anuther thing on the list lol.
as i have an idea as in PFC a lad had a half stripped 306 s16 that had all the front half standard trim and the back was stripped and had a cage that's what im going for atm but im hoping to progress in the future
at the RR they put my injectors on the test jig and mine are crap so are not doing me any favors as well as not supplying the demand, they said basically get hi end 380s or 400ish then they will map to suite what i have
#10: Re: **Spike's Project** Author: Jamie, Location: Ring y0Posted: Sat Mar 20, 2010 6:22 pm ---- "Sugref" off here has a GTi180 on throttle bodies with cams etc and he recommended that 330cc maximum to me... Ah well!
Maybe we could all get a group buy on the LSD, I know me & Kyle want one, pm me if interested!
I'd be interested in a similar cage, let me know the price when you get one!
#11: Re: **Spike's Project** Author: =ZiAn=, Location: SloveniaPosted: Sat Mar 20, 2010 9:33 pm ---- Nice to see this project again. One of my 2 favorites on the old site P.s. did you find the RR graphs of your car? Just interested to see a comparison with the ones from macj and Edward.
#12: Re: **Spike's Project** Author: spike_202, Location: West midsPosted: Sun Mar 21, 2010 4:43 am ---- no i didnt it was with all my recepts and i was looking 4it to show my tmates but now it has gone. so im getting a remap after fitting my air box and injectors.
#13: Re: **Spike's Project** Author: Edward, Location: In the garagePosted: Sun Mar 21, 2010 8:54 am ---- If you are going to use the Longman carbon airbox I recommend you get some uprated mounts.
Mine is just a few mm from the radiator and even the slight movement with uprated mounts it's rubbing the lacquer off the writing on the lid as it rubs the underbonnet carpet / insulation.
#14: Re: **Spike's Project** Author: Jamie, Location: Ring y0Posted: Sun Mar 21, 2010 8:59 am ----
Those are the Baker BM 205 Grp N mounts (also fit 206); Upper/RHS & Lower 70mm Bush
You will also need Vibra Technics gearbox mount.
#15: Re: **Spike's Project** Author: Edward, Location: In the garagePosted: Sun Mar 21, 2010 9:01 am ---- That upper engine mount doesn't look anywhere near as nice as the Vibra Technics mounts.
