#1: anton's 1.1 project Author: anton1989, Location: west midlands PostPosted: Wed May 09, 2012 12:01 pm
    ----
So then people thought it was time to show the progress my car has made. At 1st I bought a 1.9 tdi mk4 golf but couldn't afford to insure it as I'm a new driver (and yes I am 23 lol). So I bought a 1.4 black lx 206 I had it for around 2 weeks and it was problem after problem so I got rid, I did have pictures of it but they were on my hard drive which formated its self the other day :'(
so on to my current car, I wanted another 206 because regardless of the problems the 1st one gave me I liked the look of them plus they are a good 1st car. So I was on the hunt for a decent 206 with not a very big budget because my money was in the golf which I didn't want to sell so my girlfriend drove it and sold hers. (we will get to that later)

I came across this on eBay

I didn't bid on it but thought I'd keep on eye on it, then forgot about it lol, kept looking and couldn't find anything Sad so I went back to my watchlist and saw this one had been sold, I emailed the guy on the of chance somthing had gone wrong with the sale, and to my luck the guy who won the auction hadn't been in contact so I took a hr trip to have a look and there was somthing about the car I liked, I could see past the not so good mods and rear damage so made an offer and the next day took it home Very Happy

1st thing I did was replace the audio

Went abit o.t.t with the sub but what can I say I love my bass lol

next was headlights, it had angel ones already but they were chrome and I was going for a green black look.

me fitting them

So that was it for abit, here it is after a good clean

So the next few mods, I found some black l.e.d rear lights on eBay so took a trip and bought them

Fitted

As you can see I also de badged the rear and and changed the third brake light for a standard one.

then got board of the angel lights and bought these

didn't do much for a while then came across these

Along trip to Brighton and and had myself some vortex, the guy was breaking his 180 so a had his interior aswell Very Happy only bad thing was the driver seat was beat up, but I drive with a cover on my drivers seat so not that fussed, plus I got a very good deal. Also as you can see my interior was grey which ment I needed a new dash really so I found a gti that was being broke and had the dash and steering wheel.

here are some before and after picture

Old alloys

After

in between all that I also changed my h/u to an alpine iPod one, bought a black badge (cheaper than painting it myself lol) also I bought some sp door handles and these

which. Need re spraying 1st. Now as you may remember when I bought this car it had a dent in the rear quater, everytime I planned to get it fixed somthing came up! It was ment to go in the other day then this happend to the golf I bought and let my misses use

other car Sad

so this will become my new project (when and if we buy it back from the insurance company) and the 206 will stay more or less how it is for now, if I dont buy the golf back plans are fit the spoiler, fit the arches, fix the dent, change rear bumper and get rid of the double exhaust, and either get a sp front bumper or spray the lights I have in my grill black as there pretty rare I might go for this insted of the sp bumper as everyone has one.

As for the dent I just pushed it out for now

Not great but much better than it was?

so then this is how it stands now about 4 months after I bought it

There are a few things I missed out but I done this from my phone lol, will add more when my laptop is working again

Comments welcome, good or bad Very Happy

Lol, yes it Did, the two 12' subs in a custom box don't help! even carrying the vortex was hard compared to my old ones which were also 17"? I did read on here somewhere that vortex are very heavy, I'm not to fussed as it's slow anyway.

cheers plp, alot of hard work and time went into getting it to where it is

lol, I'm looking to get rid to be honest its not even on half gain (the amp) so not really being used much, might get a single 12" w JL sub instead
