#1: hard gear change? Author: gaffa786, Location: 2 Places at oncePosted: Tue May 15, 2012 1:52 pm ---- hi, another problem (i think).
basically when i try putting my car into first gear it gets really difficult and i have to really push it up. sometimes it is ok though like if i put it into 3rd and then straight into first it goes in smoothly but not all the time.
been having too many problems with my car

This is a 206 issue,
Happens to me on my 1.1, just what it does :), Cant get into 1st unless im under around 10 - 5 mph :).
I think of it as a way of me stopping ripping out my gearbox!
#3: Re: hard gear change? Author: Seabook, Posted: Tue May 15, 2012 2:29 pm ---- what speed are you doing when you want to get into 1st?
#4: Re: hard gear change? Author: Edward, Location: In the garagePosted: Tue May 15, 2012 2:32 pm ---- Anything other than an absolute crawl will ruin the gearbox.
#5: Re: hard gear change? Author: gaffa786, Location: 2 Places at oncePosted: Tue May 15, 2012 2:34 pm ---- At a standstill normally like at traffic lights it is hard to put into first. i dont use 1st other than to move off from a stand still
#6: Re: hard gear change? Author: Seabook, Posted: Tue May 15, 2012 2:41 pm ---- give a fit of rev in neutral and it will slide into first easily

I can its got nothing to with driving. Im at a standstill and just putting it into first gear
#10: Re: hard gear change? Author: karimali831, Location: EnglandPosted: Tue May 15, 2012 4:38 pm ---- It's normal, just leave it in gear two and rev when you need and put it in gear 1 only when pulling off.
