Agreed on the Flywheel front- mine has been replaced once. Very costly job, and was considering some SMF replacements as an alternative, but decided to go DMF still.

Not experienced any of the other problems (yet), and hopefully won't. The main cause of the turbo going bang is poor maintenance (e.g. wrong oil), and neglect (e.g. turning off after a few hard power runs).

My DPF hasn't had any problems yet, even with the remap. It does regen after a few consecutive short journeys, but that's common in all DPF cars.

I agree on the 'faster is better' thing - if a car is broken, it ain't gonna be fast is it!?
