#1: Problems Connecting Angel Lights HELP!! Author: Jaeger, Location: UK PostPosted: Sat Jun 02, 2012 10:49 am

I just got a set of Angel lights and trying to fit them.

But I am having problems with the parking lights and dipped...

The small parking light bulb fits into the Angel light but the plug is too big for the round cut out (1) so I can't clip the plug in place...will I need a different plug?

My HDi lights have a motor that adjust the angle of the dipped lights.

The only way you can adjust the dipped on the Angels is L to R by truing a threaded screw thing (2) but I haven't found a place for a motor or how to adjust the up and down angle or if you can at all.

Also the black and white wires (3) what are they for? They aren't connected to anything...

The lights look like anton1989's here:

But when I turned on the parking light the halos didn't come on...do I even have them?

Anyone who's got experience with Angels please!

1 could possibly be for your motor, can't tell with the angle of the picture

no 3 wires are for the halos, connect to side lights

OK here are the pics I'll try to provide as much details as possible.

Here is the headlight light cavity with all the wires labeled:

I presume the Dipped/Main are not used for Angel as there is a plug that fits, similar to the rear lights... Confused

Heres the front and back:

Here is that threaded screw that adjusts the L and R moment:

All the way out:

All the way in:

The Dipped are actually pointing slightly down.

Inside the spotlights:

The Parking light will not fit because the round dip is restricting the plug.
The HDi light has a flat surface so it just sits without an issue.

Also, where do you wire the Black/White wire so the Halo lights work? Confused

What you need to do with that white and black is; put white with white black with black(same colours together)

Then on the sidelight wires you need to remove a small part of the wire cover to expose the positive and negative feeds from the sidelight. Then those black and white wires need to be attached to it.

The big bolt you removed in picture 5 (counting down the page). Your motor from your previous set of lights can be now fitted to that gap

Now the sidelights, unfortunately the set of lights you bought were not designed very well (not official set of halos). But don't let that put you off they will still work! Do you have a high temp glue gun? If so just apply a small amount of glue to the back of the bulb

Thanks for explaining. Smile
I will see how I get on with fitting them.

I tried fitting the motor but it don't go in...the tip won't reach the slot. Mad

I'm not happy with them as they are now. Evil or Very Mad

I'll just leave the HDi ones for now I'll need to think of a way to fix these issue first. Confused

I pulled off the rubber bulb covers and pulled the lense close enough so the motors can reach. You can extend the motor arms by putting a torx bit in the top (a white coloured plastic bolt)

Yeah I turned the plastic allen/torx and the screw so the light moved...

I thought of talking the cover off but since I need the car this week and I had a million other things to do from last weekend due to the drums...I had to abort... Sad

I will do some work and get them working at some point I just don't have time until the weekends...

They look really cool btw! Thumbs Up and I got the halos to work too!

Thanks for the help DeadEyePaul Thumb Up
