#1: Project J-Euro, new wheels Author: Sk3rry93, Location: NewryPosted: Sun Jun 03, 2012 4:15 am ---- So this is my pride and joy its called project penny because thats about all i can afford to spend Excuse the crappy blackberry pics
So looked like this when I bought her
First thing i done was dewipered and debadged the rear
Then spryed some interior bits and the front badge
Then i got offered some wind deflectors
A friend then got me a roll of yellow tint from work for free along with a Ripspeed airfilter brand new for a tenner dont have any pics of this as yet but will take some
Then got my new exhaust fitted as the original had a massive blowout that i didnt cause
And then just yesterday picked up an Astra Splitter that looks the nutts!!! direct fit no cutting or anything
Also have a stereo to be fitted just havnt gotten round to it
Plans at the moment are t fix the back bumper of the car as it got scraped and knocked loose in an incident with a wall and a passat no pics of the damage but i will take pics of he damage later on
Havnt got any idea what alloys i want so all ideas welcome was thinking maby Cyclones or Hornets Last edited by Sk3rry93 on Fri Sep 27, 2013 6:41 am; edited 3 times in total

Which Astra does the splitter come from? And where did you get the plug thing for when you de-wipered? Seems like a perfect fit.

#17: Re: Project Slow N Slutty Author: Sk3rry93, Location: NewryPosted: Tue Nov 06, 2012 5:18 am ---- havnt had an update on this for a while, but better now than never, so the cars been busy getting damage fixed more than anything recently as the door tried to take the wing off the car so thats away getting sprayed now along with my cyclones i got from a friend bought some coilovers last night, brand new never used so hopefully now i get it all back togther for december, along with the raft of parts it needs for the mot in January will see about getting pics of the paint and coilovers later on when i get home
#18: Re: Project Slow N Slutty Author: Edward, Location: In the garagePosted: Tue Nov 06, 2012 1:30 pm ---- The red one looked fine at first...just a set of Nimrods and it would look perfect. It's all went downhill with that front splitter and no rear wiper.
#19: Re: Project Slow N Slutty Author: Sk3rry93, Location: NewryPosted: Wed Jan 30, 2013 6:58 pm ---- Ok so its been a while since ive looked at this and after the recent events, including failing mot and being smashed into on a roundabout, ive decided i need new ideas and where better to start, so some photos and if anybody has any ideas feel free to tell me
Before the accident,
After the accident
And as it sits at the moment,
Ive been getting mixed opinions on the stickers, any ideas?
Next few plans on the list is to get a new induction kit, finally fit my strutbrace and lower the rear a little more.
#20: Re: Project Slow N Slutty Author: RCally66, Location: ScotlandPosted: Wed Jan 30, 2013 7:12 pm ---- Wow the latest pics of the car look sick man, the black cyclones top the car off, deffinately one of my favourite cars on here, from where you bought it at, to where its at now is a totally different place and thats a great achievement. looks well modded , bet still stealthy at the same time!
#21: Re: Project Slow N Slutty Author: simonster_14, Posted: Sat Feb 02, 2013 9:08 am ---- really like that, good work
#22: Re: Project Slow N Slutty Author: Sk3rry93, Location: NewryPosted: Sat Jul 06, 2013 1:14 pm ---- So as usual havnt updated this in a while not many big changes more big plans for the next few months but few things done since the last post including Decatting, Toyo Proxes, removing the tacky orange parts seen in an earlyier update, service, Cupra R Splitter, GTI 180 interior picked up for pennies so was rude not too and generaly driving it
Few recent pics
Toying with the idea of going lower, Wraping the roof black and possibly an alloy change? also need some bigger brakes and a bigger arb for the rear if anyone has any advice?
#23: Re: Project Slow N Slutty Author: dan1995206, Posted: Sat Jul 06, 2013 1:48 pm ---- Looks great
#24: Re: Project Slow N Slutty Author: Sk3rry93, Location: NewryPosted: Sat Jul 06, 2013 2:35 pm ---- Thanks man sorta running out of inspiration now so I'm open to suggestions, need to retint and rewire the fogs cause they look rubbish close up and don't have any power running to them
#25: Re: Project Slow N Slutty Author: Addaz, Location: SuffolkPosted: Sat Jul 06, 2013 5:05 pm ---- Slam it, stretch and then let the ball roll
#26: Re: Project Slow N Slutty Author: Sk3rry93, Location: NewryPosted: Sat Jul 06, 2013 5:45 pm ---- Would love some camber but I've no idea where to start with the torsion bar any ideas?
#27: Re: Project Slow N Slutty Author: Addaz, Location: SuffolkPosted: Sat Jul 06, 2013 5:48 pm ----

As far as im aware im the only one to have done it, and im sorry but I aint saying how.
A simple good stance would be lower, good amount of tyre stretch and about 25mm of poke
#28: Re: Project Slow N Slutty Author: sam-c, Location: Uni: Kent Home: ScunthorpePosted: Sat Jul 06, 2013 6:22 pm ---- If you are looking for ideas heres a few things you might want to consider:
- Smooth the front bonnet
- Remove the yellow tint on the fogs (more of a personal thing)
- New front lights
- New rear lights
- New wheels (Personally I think you will get a better overall stance/look with different wheels)
- Lower it
Just a few thoughts. Other than that there is a whole world of smoothing opportunities out there
#29: Re: Project Slow N Slutty Author: danlouiee, Location: Plymouth, DevonPosted: Sun Jul 07, 2013 3:49 am ---- Looks sweet mate! I've had cyclones for about 3 years now and never lowered it as not sure how it would look howver..looks sweeeet! How much have you lowered front and back by?
#30: Re: Project Slow N Slutty Author: Sk3rry93, Location: NewryPosted: Sun Jul 07, 2013 4:21 am ---- The back end had the axle rebuilt at 1nick with fk shocks, the coilovers up front still have the helper springs and have plenty of drop left, talking maby 40mm at the front.
#31: Re: Project Slow N Slutty Author: Sk3rry93, Location: NewryPosted: Sun Jul 07, 2013 4:24 am ----

Yeah I have to agree the bonnets going for a respray/smooth soon anyway and I have been considering new wheels and slaming it, personally I wouldn't change the front lights but open to changing the rears
#32: Re: Project Slow N Slutty Author: Sk3rry93, Location: NewryPosted: Mon Jul 22, 2013 6:28 pm ---- Not really much of an update but since my last post I've taken the 206 off the road for some work few plans in my mind so ill be keeping this updated, also bought a 306 hdi as a new daily while the 206 is off the road, so in short the project should be getting more detailed from here onwards.
#33: Re: Project Slow N Slutty Author: Ange47, Location: Bedford, UK.Posted: Thu Jul 25, 2013 7:04 am ---- Nice and clean 1.1 mate. I used to have a cone filter on mine aswell but I took it off after a month. Some people told me that is not so "healthy" for the engine to have such an inappropriate air intake. It sounded cool though.
#34: Re: Project J-Euro Author: Sk3rry93, Location: NewryPosted: Sat Jul 27, 2013 2:04 pm ---- So brief update went out today to work at the car, Got the coilovers cleaned up and dropped down, also stripped all the rear plastics to remove any old gunk or unneeded weight, took all the old bits of tape off the number plates and swaped the alloys around so the better tyres were on the daily as there's new alloys on the way for the 206
Next up is fixing the fogs, retinting them and fitting and spraying the strutbrace.
Alot more planed but ill update this as and when it happens.
And a wee sneaky one of the daily derv
#35: Re: Project J-Euro Author: Sk3rry93, Location: NewryPosted: Sat Aug 03, 2013 11:21 am ---- So another update went out today and finally fitted my strutbrace, painted my brakes, removed some weight inside and fitted my newly sprayed filler cap, the choice for alloys has also been narrowed down to two designs, but as for which will be happening next is just some more minor things, but i will be keeping tight lipped for now on some of my recent purchases and ideas,
How the car currently sits
Need opinions as to wether to ditch the yellow fogs or not?
#36: Re: Project J-Euro Author: RedHDI, Location: Northern IrelandPosted: Sun Aug 04, 2013 6:15 pm ---- Wasn't this up for sale?
#37: Re: Project J-Euro Author: Sk3rry93, Location: NewryPosted: Mon Aug 05, 2013 4:08 am ---- It was I had my eyes on something else but had more time wasters than anything so I've kept it and put it off the road for a few changes
#38: Re: Project J-Euro Author: Steve137, Location: BasingstokePosted: Mon Aug 05, 2013 12:51 pm ---- looks good mate
#39: Re: Project J-Euro Author: Sk3rry93, Location: NewryPosted: Thu Sep 26, 2013 9:03 am ---- I shall leave this here opinions please
#40: Re: Project J-Euro Author: wes180, Posted: Thu Sep 26, 2013 10:57 am ---- how did you fit the astra splitter?
#41: Re: Project J-Euro Author: danlouiee, Location: Plymouth, DevonPosted: Thu Sep 26, 2013 11:14 am ---- Unless your gonna drop it more mate (I hope ) then it wouldn't work but like the rims they suit well!
#42: Re: Project J-Euro Author: Sk3rry93, Location: NewryPosted: Thu Sep 26, 2013 12:17 pm ---- Yea I'm just finishing some custom camber then it's being dropped all round, sump guard is ready to be made
I look forward to seeing if more people can replicate what I did.
Please say it will be dropped on its a**e
#44: Re: Project J-Euro Author: wes180, Posted: Thu Sep 26, 2013 4:53 pm ---- how did you fit the astra splitter? please? i like that more then the cr one.
#45: Re: Project J-Euro Author: Sk3rry93, Location: NewryPosted: Thu Sep 26, 2013 7:04 pm ---- Wes180 I sent you a pm,
Yeah not too far off completion now few other bits to tidy up and then I'll be happy but doing the custom camber and going stupidly low
#47: Re: Project J-Euro, new wheels Author: Sk3rry93, Location: NewryPosted: Sat Sep 28, 2013 9:33 am ---- Don't mention it, so no real big updates as such just yet but using some off the how too's here to make the custom c pillar lights and also the I phone dock in the ash tray I'll get shots up one I'm done, few wee bits touch up but I'd say not much longer before the cars finished, for now lol.
