FAILED EMISSIONS TEST NUMBER 6, the CO reading has dropped to .46 which is still a fail how ever im only looking for .16 now

upon further investigation and talks with the garage the cat that was replaced was used (2months old) but a couple of things worry me about it.

1. the donor car had blown its head gasket which can cause problems with the cat
2. the spanner who fitted it had used exhaust paste BEFORE the cat (on the link pipe) which is also known to cause problems with the catalytic material

i now have a brand new cat which i plan on fitting over the weekend

Sounds a bit steep for a cat and an MOT. But if it works now it's all good Thumb Up
