Stop and start

My peugeot 206 1.4lx 1999 doesnt start by itself in the morning i have to put my foot on the accelerator for a while and ill drive off down the road and it will be fine but every now and then it will cut out ? Shocked ? No idea y but it only stops every mow and then but in the morning or not driving it for a while i have to hold the accelerator down does anyone have any idea what it might be ?

Yes sorry did go looking for the guide but got side tracked, I would start with the cheap basics! and then work from there.

elo, took off the icv and put it back on after cleaning it all up and making sure there was no crap in there or anything running better but still cuts out every now and then.

Could be the coil pack or spark plugs. Check that plugs are Bosch Super 4's and not NGK's and also that the Coil Pack is not a Sagem, if it is change to the superior bourgicord.
