Does an ECU 'store' codes?
-> 206 Problems

Hiya,
A few weeks ago I had the anti pollution fault appear for about a second only, and only when it was starting. Since then it has not appeared and the EML is not on.
My question is that despite the fault only appearing briefly, can I get the code downloaded by the diag machine? Is it stored or has it cleared itself and I will never know? I obviously would like to know why the problem appeared before it gets any worse.
It's a 02' 206 GTi
Thx
bigwal
