#1: Exhaust fell off at front Author: LeeUK, Location: NorthumberlandPosted: Sat Jun 16, 2012 5:18 am ---- My exhaust has come off at the front. Garage say I need a new cat, linkpipe and gasket. They want £206.50 all in. Is this a good price?
Exhaust has been blowing at the front end for the past week or so.

#5: Re: Exhaust fell off at front Author: coopskin, Location: Hull, East YorkshirePosted: Sat Jun 16, 2012 8:01 am ---- not a bad price, your looking at £150-£200 (depends on source) for a genuine peugeot cat converter.
#6: Re: Exhaust fell off at front Author: Matt, Posted: Sat Jun 16, 2012 8:11 am ---- Yea seems a good price. Won't be a genuine Pug cat though.

#9: Re: Exhaust fell off at front Author: Lee, Location: EnglandPosted: Sat Jun 16, 2012 9:25 am ---- But you're going to have no choice if the garage has the car already and you won't move it =/
Should ask for quotes prior to taking it and handing over the keys!
#10: Re: Exhaust fell off at front Author: tagget, Location: southamptonPosted: Sat Jun 16, 2012 1:27 pm ---- Not that hard to do yourself? just buy a New front pipe the cat would be fine.. i did mine myself and past my mot the next month even know i was doing 30mph at the time an it fell off an i drove home a mile with it scraping across the floor had no damn wire or rope
#11: Re: Exhaust fell off at front Author: Harry, Location: StaffordPosted: Sat Jun 16, 2012 2:05 pm ---- Where has it broke? If it's just snapped off the centre pipe a garage can weld it for around £30 no point forking out for a new cat if the internals still have a fair bit of life in them
