When we purchased my sisters 1.1 lx 2001 peugeot 206 it was noticed that the central locking did not work from the key fob, so I have just purchased a key fob however it must still be coded to another immobiliser as it just will not start the little pug. I have the immobiliser code that came with the car is specialist gear needed or is it a pretty easy fix. HELP!
regards Dan

On the later models the immobiliser chip is separate to the remote board. Not sure on 2001 though. Fairly sure that you will need someone with PP2000 to code the chip to the car though

A lot of people swap casings over and forget about the chip. It's smaller than your little finger nail and is black in colour so hides pretty well in the case.

Think you will need a new chip as the one you have will be coded to the old car. Get in contact with Lee, helped me with mine when I needed one

Needs to be a virgin transponder chip for the immobiliser & you need Peugeot Planet to code the keyfob to the car.

Also being a 2001 car on the cross over year I hope you got the correct type of remote keyfob for it.

Problem solved, The immobilser chip was in the broken key, I have transferred it into the new key and now it works fine. Thanks for the help
