Right well i've gone quiet on this now because tbh i'm fed up of the car and i haven't even had it on the road yet Sad Since i last updated i've had numerous problems with the car and have got p!ssed off with it!!

I finaly got the brakes all connected up ready to bleed only to find two of the calipers don't seem to be allowing fluid through, i've replaced all brake lines, flexi joints, bleed nipples etc etc and gave up on that along with the engine.

So the car is at a local guy who is gonna sort the engine's running problem, the brakes and get the car through the MOT for me as i'm going to smash the car up lol.

I do have a couple of photo's for you on this update as my servo/master cylinder decided to break so i upgraded them to a 16v GTI setup meaning i only need the front calipers now to be running a full GTI setup.

* Oppsy Daisy*

Well as you'll be aware from previous update's i have been having some trouble with the engine in my Mk2 Sad and i'm not getting anywhere fast with it. So having finally cleared some room and getting rid of some remaining parts. I have been able to purchase another Mk2 Golf to use for a few months.

This time i brought an 8v 90Spec GTI, which has an absolutely mint engine. It has a full set of bilsten shocks and springs alround and a stack of reciepts for engine, brakes, services and various other work been carried out over the year's. The bodywork isn't the best but tbh i'm not fussed about that. Anyway enough blah blah blah onto the photo's.

Update time again

I was browsing ebay when i found a complete jetta front end consisting of headlights/grill/slam panel. So i took a random go at bidding on it and only bloody won it for £12.50 so well happy about that Very Happy

I've also ordered a spare wiring loom for the red golf so i can start prepping the car ready to do the engine swap from the gti.

Will have more updates once the weather gets better as it's too cold to be outside atm.

Went and uncovered the car today after all the snow to check her over and to see some fresh paint as i'm having big withdrawal symptoms of good paint lol. Decide to give her a wash and attempt to get some half decent photo's with the digital camera.

Well as the better weather is getting here and i've have confirmation my new loom is enroute i shall be attacking the car over the next coming weeks to rip her apart to a shell again for the rebuild Very Happy

This is a long term restoration project so not looking to do any drastic color change or wild body mods, more OEM subtle mod's / upgrades tbh

I now work at Innovation BodyworX so i get a very good price on work but i can give you a guide price of £1500 - £2500 depending on the amount of work required on the vehicle such as dent removal/prep/panel replacement etc also the color you choose will affect the price as some paints are inks/candys/pearls/solids/metallics.
