#1: Testing Injectors Author: LeeThr, Location: North West WalesPosted: Thu Jun 21, 2012 11:58 am ---- Right I seriously need to fix whatever my misfire is now. But How can I test the injectors?
Anybody have any ideas?

#3: Re: Testing Injectors Author: Seabook, Posted: Thu Jun 21, 2012 1:53 pm ---- you need to get the flow test which you can't do it unless you got the machine
#4: Re: Testing Injectors Author: LeeThr, Location: North West WalesPosted: Thu Jun 21, 2012 1:56 pm ---- any idea where i could get it done?
but most diesel specialist got equipment to test my injectors

#7: Re: Testing Injectors Author: LeeThr, Location: North West WalesPosted: Thu Jun 21, 2012 2:01 pm ---- maybe ill just play blind & throw the set of spare injectors i have in see what happens then.
#8: Re: Testing Injectors Author: spike_202, Location: West midsPosted: Thu Jun 21, 2012 2:53 pm ---- As long as they are the same flow rate it should run fine.

There the injectors that came with the engine when i swapped it, so should be ok.

#11: Re: Testing Injectors Author: kandlbarrett, Location: SwindonPosted: Thu Jun 21, 2012 6:56 pm ---- Don't know about petrol cars but diesels have a number stamped on each injector. Due to tiny manufacturing tolerance errors every injector flows a slightly different quantity of fuel and that number must be programmed to the ecu. The ecu then corrects for the fact that each injector is slightly different.
They will run without the ecu programmed with the new injectors but it is not wise to run like that for a long time. Are petrol injectors the same?
