#1: P1524 Stepper motor fault Author: alforster, Location: ChorleyPosted: Sun Jun 24, 2012 1:47 pm ---- Went through a puddle the other day (2 ft deep) and flooded the engine.
Managed to flush the water out and eventually got the motor running.
Took it for a spin this morning and it ran pretty good but when I turned the engine and re-started the engine fired up and died.
I can keep it going if I put my foot down but it hunts when its running.
Put tester on and fault p1424 came up (stepper motor).
Does anyone have any idea what this relates to and how to fix it.
Although to be honest you may have killed it they aren't that expensive if this is all it is.
