#1: Another thing to go wRong YET AGAIN Author: gaffa786, Location: 2 Places at oncePosted: Fri Jun 29, 2012 3:14 pm ---- Ok so i had my brakes checked and my rear drums adjuster is
Broken from one side and sumtin else on the other garage said they will replace the shoes and what nott £110 is dat any good?
On top of that ............
My front brake disks are not smooth from both sides as the pad has not been rubbing on the right places? On average how much is it to replace the front disks and pads???
Do you also have to replace the calipers?
Last one. My breaks are not fully working. There are no leaks but the guy said even after the rear ones are sorted you will still need to do the front. Would this affect the braking so badly?
Sorry for so many questions.
Excuse and spelling mistakes as im writing on my phone and i know some of you people like to pick at the mistakes

cant comment on if your brakes current state will affect your braking as i wouldnt want to say know there fine and then read that you couldnt stop and drove over a cliff lol
sorry about bad spelling but i just dont give a crap this time of night or most days to be honest

I think a main stealers would be cheaper....
For any 'compitent' garage it should only cost about 1 hour in labour and parts (so what £40? (if you re-use the hub nuts and caps))
Front brakes, again one hour to do and probably £40 for parts
Thought about DIY?
If your really lazy, unbolt a complete drum unit and bolt direct onto yours with no need to F about

no need to replace the calipers, front discs and pads are around £40 - £50 i fit mine myself so not sure how much a garage would charge you, its p**s easy so dont pay anything over about £40 to have them fitted, its easier than the rear (drums)
as for your brakes not working to good they may need bleeding also easy if you know how, have the garage do it for you while they fit the new pads and discs.
if braking is that bad in the car do not drive it, your not only putting yourself at risk but others aswell

I also do discs + pads myself there is a how to guide on here some place that's how I learnt!
Never done the drums yet!
9 pages and it turned h/u was f**ked!!!
please do not do the discs yourself gaffa
Yep 9 pages of guess work but within the 1st few pages i said it was gotta be the headunit
So i would agree DONT do your own brakes.
#13: Re: Another thing to go wRong YET AGAIN Author: Matt, Posted: Fri Jun 29, 2012 5:22 pm ---- Front discs and pads, complete set up is around £50 inc postage on eBay.
For a garage to fit around £20. If you are paying more, you are a d**che.
