Someone might have picked the wrong bolts up by accident, picking errors can happen, a alloy wheel bolt looks like any other alloy wheel bolt on a shelf in the stores.

Would I have a foot to stand on if I disputed whats happened on them?

No idea, you need to check what bolts where supplied to you.
If there the correct bolts for the wheels & car then Peugeot will say fitting error.
If there the incorrect bolts it comes down to was the correct part number ordered in the first place & was the correct bolts handed to you when you paid for them?
BUT Peugeot could turn round & say you didnt check the parts where correct before you left the dealership parts counter.
Find out what part number is on the bag the bolts where supplied in, each bolt should have come in its own little sealed bag with Peugeot / Citroen genuine parts printed on it & also the 6 digit part number.
If the part number is on the bag is it a sticker OR is it printed on the bag?
Stickers can be stuck on the wrong item so there's an element of doubt to consider. Last edited by MrBSI on Wed Jul 04, 2012 6:03 am; edited 1 time in total

not really, they will just say 3 of the wheels were fine so the one that came of must have been fitted wrong

Seems weird on 2 counts-
1- all the others seem ok
2- the bolts all came out so fast giving no time to stop & leave no damage to the hub.
They're only gonna come to one conclusion, & that's that the bolts weren't done up properly.

So in a way, you were lucky. And noone was hurt.
