PPT30 no display
-> 206 Problems

Hi I have a problem with my PPT30 it lights up but no digits or information is displayed. I took my clocks out and repaired them recently and have not used the car since. It worked after I repaired the clocks but not now. Are the two linked up? Could I have damaged something behind the clocks when I had them apart. Or is it just bad luck and my ppt30 is now broke too?

I'd say its fairly certain the two are linked. Why not take them out again and check the connection to the display unit? What did you need to do to the clocks, ie why were they broken to require a repair?

The odometer wasn't working. It was because the ribbon was unsticking all I did was cut some card and wedge behind it.

Just taken my clocks out and can't see anything damaged behind them on the board anywhere. The ribbon on the ppt is creased could this be it or would that just make the display bitty? It's not damaged all along just in the middle. God I hate electrics.

Sounds like you've damaged the ribbon cable and that's the problem. No idea how you're going to fix it - another cable from a scrappy?

Is there a fuse for the clock somewhere? Wondering / hoping it could just be that. Hope I don't need a new one. I haven't taken my mfd apart until now so can't understand how it's got damaged.
