b******s. That makes life a LOT harder. Defo nothing but 206 Com2000?
Peugeot, if you're reading this I haaaaaaaaaate you.
Just so you know, I do have to change the Com2000 since the indicator stalk is fuggered - I'm not just trying to make life deliberately difficult for myself.
Windscreen needs to change anyway since it's got more chips in it than an average overweight american. Hence the question regarding autolights/wipers.
Yes it has to be a 206 com.
Ive seen a Citroen C2 com fitted to a 206 before, all that happened was ENGINE IMMOBILISER FAULT & the front wipers started up & wouldnt stop
If the wiring is there for the rain / light sensor then it should be possible to retrofit it, never seen it done before on a multiplexed 206 but anythings possible within reason.

I won't be holding my breath on the loom being there
I'll go have a look now.
You've been a great help, cheers!

Right scrappy hunting tomorrow
and new tyres.
Christ the list of jobs is never ending... there was me thinking it was only a couple of things to sort out

#21: Re: I have a 206 2003 Look... can I change the following? Author: adsayer, Location: NorthallertonPosted: Tue Jul 10, 2012 8:29 pm ---- Ooookay. Went to the scrappy today and I have to say they've got me worried. Apart from being reluctant to let me go and have a look around the 206s (so no glovebox light and plunger :(), they told me a com2000 from a 206 with front fogs wouldn't work on my car??? I ignored them and bought a 2004 com2000 with no autowiper/light buttons and sadly no trip mpg button - the end of the wiper stalk was removable though.
But I'm still worried about toasting the bsi or something
Will this front fogged com2000 be okay on my vehicle?
Thanks!!!

#23: Re: I have a 206 2003 Look... can I change the following? Author: skard, Location: UK - NorthPosted: Wed Jul 11, 2012 7:35 am ---- yes it will work as i stated earlier in the thread, as long as it came from a 206.
the fog activation is controlled through the bsi. the stalk itself is the same, other than a sticker.
the twist activation you have now would do for front fogs also - as it stands for your rear fog it is..
switch up = fog on
switch down = fog off
with front fogs activated through the bsi it is then..
switch up once = front fogs on
switch up twice = front and rear fogs on
switch down once = front on rear off
switch down twice = all fogs off
if the comm2000 you got is older than yours then be aware you'll probably have to replace it again as they fail quite often.

You can get the sticker on its own, ive seen it listed in a retrofit front fog lamp kit, doesnt give the sticker part number though

Just new to this whole BSI/com2000 thing and trying to get the car ready before it begins it's new life as a commuter car - so I'd rather not bugger up something if I can avoid it. Thanks for the clarification. I think we're getting there!!

The com 2000 unit is the headlamp / wiper stalk unit that also houses the airbag rotary switch wiring & horn wiring, the trasponder immobiliser aerial is also connected to the com unit.
ESP steering angle sensor is also part of the com unit but your 206 hasnt got ESP fitted.
A multiplexed 206 runs a digital CAN VAN electrical system.

i tried to get it, there was a guy on the site pre-crash from portugal i think who had some, but never got back to me.
i got a brand new made in 2008 com2000 for £30 on ebay soon after with all appropriate markings
ads - have you checked your engine bay fusebox for the F6 fuse? if you don't have it you want to get back to the same car at the scrappy as this fuse is needed to complete the front fogs circuit when retrofitted through factory wiring.
my fuse box was capped off and couldn't take a fuse, yours will likely be the same.

I remember the part number being on here 5 / 6 years ago
