Hi done a clutch change and found an electric water heater
bolted on top of the gearbox.
can anyone tell me why and when it gets used?

I just pressed it and it works. When page opens wait a few secs and then
it changes to the right picture

Helps heat water up quickly in winter, diesels run cooler than petrol.

So what makes it run, turn on/off is there a temp range that switches it on?
