What part needed?

The gaiter on the arm has a very small split and apparently needs to be changed to pass MOT. Here in the picture you can see the gaiter that needs replacing and the smaller circle where the split is. Can't the split just be patched up to avoid the expensive hours labour to pull apart the arm? If not that can anyone tell me what the part is I tried searching for it on ebay.

Wish I had cleared the sludge under the gaiter that way they wouldn't of had to look at the split Sad

Thanks

Thats a CV boot, cheap enough Smile

Not sure if you can get it through the MOT by patching it up though. Im sure someone else will say if you can.

Yep, CV boot, might as well just get it done, dont want to patch it up and loose all the grease, could end up snapping the CV joint.
