#1: Urgent Help - rear Light not working (drivers side) Author: Rich_T, Location: UKPosted: Thu Jul 19, 2012 10:36 am ---- I nede some help my Frivers side rear light isnt working, but the bulb is OK, the dip light on the same side isnt working - again the bulb is OK ( the little tiny bulb in the light cluster) also the lights behind the heater controls have gone out.
Car is a 2001 206 and i need to use it later this evening with all lights working, and next week - i wont have access to anywhere that will be able to fix it

Check again - best with a multimeter, as they can be deceptive and look OK to the eye but still not conduct...
IIRC, rear light and front sidelight run off the same fuse (per side), so I'd say the fuse is still the primary suspect.
Heater panel lighting should be off the same feed as other gauges/buttons illumination; so if others work it's probably local to the panel (wire, blown bulbs etc)

also the brake light in teh same cluster is not working, although the indicators do.

Ookay... do you get 12V on the wires for rear, brake etc, just outside the cluster? With the indicator working, the grounding for the cluster appears OK - possibly a broken ground internal to the cluster...
But the non working front sidelight at the same time makes it weird...
Fear you'll need to trace and probe the wiring and see how far you have voltage/where it disappears.
At the front, is there +12V in the lamp socket? Good connection between the other pin in the socket and good ground (neg battery pole)?
