#1: gti 180 steering problem Author: rudeboy69, Location: perthPosted: Tue Jul 24, 2012 12:57 pm ---- Hello hope someone can help the problem I now have. with my gti 180 is the steering rack but not sure !!! problem I have is if I let go of steering wheel it will pull left or right also when I turn out of a junction to right or left I hear a knocking noise and a rattling noise aswell when I brake it will also pull me left or right wich aint good so was just wondering if anybody had any ideas before I go to garage and end up paying to much. Any help would be great cheers.

I can remember when mine was playing-up that the whole front end felt uncontrollable.
Wishbones are about £50 each or so, from memory.
