#1: 2 ltr hdi, service and cambelt kit Author: anton1989, Location: west midlandsPosted: Tue Jul 24, 2012 2:25 pm ---- i plan on getting my cambelt done on my hdi, i opted to purchase the parts myself, is there a particular belt, water pump brand i should buy?
also i wat it serviced while it is there as there is little history with the car and would like to build some up, garage told me to buy the following;
fuel filter
oil filter
air fillter?
oil
and i will be having the colant changed also.
i could do most of these my self but would be good to have some proof of it being done( for when it comes to selling it) alswell as it being properly.
questions are
what oil is best for the 2.0 hdi
what coolant
what cambelt kit
what water pump
does it matter what fuel/oil filtter i use
I got my genuine clutch from them
they might have water pump on there as well
Lus there's a thing on here somewhere about the car and its fluids Last edited by wifes206 on Tue Jul 24, 2012 2:34 pm; edited 1 time in total

Just because a garage is doing the work, doesn't mean it's getting done properly either. Just record what's been done and at what mileage. That's what I've done with the last 2 services and the timing belt & water pump on the 306.

it will be packed in a peugeot bag or box most likely
true not worth the risk for a few extra ££
did you not see the peugeot/shitroen sticker on the box?
