so i have have anti pollution fault up for a while so while at the garage having my cv boot done i had my codes read

before i start i also had an airbag fault a few days ago but this went away after i fitted my 180 seats and left the battery disconneted for over half an hour?

so this is what came up

p0100-mass or volume air flow circuit malfunction

p0571-cruise control/brake switch A circuit malfunction

p1112-rail pressure signal over the upper threshold

p1519-cooling fan

p0221-throttle/pedal position sensor/switch B circuit

p0230-fuel pump primary circuit malfunction

p0110-intake air temp circuit malfunction

faults where cleared, the car had the gear oil out so could not not start the car, i turned the ignition off, left it the done same again and the only code that came back was p0110 BUT the car hadnt been started so more may come back after it is.

it was after closing time so after my cv boot was done thy had no time to start the car and see what else came back, i will be going back tomorrow to what comes up

anyway on the drive bag my airbagfault came back! this had been gone for a few days. the anti pollution fault seems to have gone though?

so if these faults have come back when i check tommorow what needs doing? i take it p1519 means i have no cooling fan Shocked how do i know whats wrong with it

why did my airbag fault go then come back after i had the codes read?

any help much appriciated

by the way the guy never knew much about the codes he left me to check it myself as he did my cv boot

i got P0110 as well, it turns out is one of the wire on the plug (on the MAF) was snapped.

just work it through step by step, those code aren't complicated,

nope. if the circuit was open, the default air intake temperature will be set at 50 (maybe 60) by ECU;

start from the sensor and work from there, most likely will be bad connection/ broken plug/ broken earth.

Not sure what the scanner is, will find out later

it had to parts, the bit that went into the part near fuse box, this had lead that went to a box, then a hand held pc type thing th where the codes come up on

A squib is a small electrically initiated explosive device (for instance also used to set of dye packs in movies simulating gunshot wounds).

In this case it's the initiator for the main gas generating charge; if if enough current runs through it, it heats up, sets of the small sensitive initiator charge which in turn sets off the main charge.

Since it says open circuit it means there's no current at all being passed through - ie probably a wiring issue to the airbag.
