Just came on here looking for some advice hopefully. Owned an old Civic for many years and want to trade it in for this 206 1.4 16V Sport tomorrow. Don't know much about cars!
Any advice appreciated on things to look out for with this particular spec / age / mileage. It has no service history so what things can I assume will need to be done, e.g. cam belt, etc.?
Cheers

if i had the pennys i'd be snapping that up
seems VERY cheap as these normaly go for around £2000-£3000+ ?
someone will be a long to give a better clue on the price but on that plate it still seems very cheap.

#4: Re: 206 1.4 Sport Author: cartoonhead, Location: North ManchesterPosted: Fri Jul 27, 2012 3:06 pm ---- advert shows it as the for sale price

it is only 6 yr old, and that is probably the reason they want to sold it. a big bill for major maintenance.

with history of buying bad cars if its sounds to good to be true it is!
Saying that you get 3 months warranty! I would def be tempted

depends on what did the warranty cover
#13: Re: 206 1.4 Sport Author: jk206, Location: GainsboroughPosted: Fri Jul 27, 2012 4:59 pm ---- It's possible it could of been like a cat c write off and been repaired which would explain why it's so cheap?
#14: Re: 206 1.4 Sport Author: ma701ss, Location: BromleyPosted: Fri Jul 27, 2012 5:02 pm ---- Wouldn't be so bad, my Civic's been written off three times and it's still on the road! Best car I ever owned (sorry any Honda haters).
#15: Re: 206 1.4 Sport Author: jk206, Location: GainsboroughPosted: Fri Jul 27, 2012 5:04 pm ---- The no service history is a bit of a worry tho mate, common problem for 206's is oil leak on the drivers side part of the engine which come from a failed head gasket, also bottom pulley seals go aswell so check for that
