1) Solder & heatshrink the wires back together.

2) Check with a multimeter ALL the BSI fuses are intact / not blown.

3) Check ALL the fuses in the BM34 underbonnet fusebox in the same way.

4) Reboot the BSI unit correctly.

If it's still dead then remove the BSI unit & either replace it with a VIRGIN / NEW unit OR send the original of for repair & BE HONEST about what you have done to it to kill it!

BBA Reman can test / repair BSI units

A new BSI unit from Peugeot is £339.77 PLUS whatever the labour charge is to configure it to the car ( at least an hours labour charge )

Thumbs Up I agree!

Thanks for your replies

I had a mechanic come round today and run a diagnotics on the BSI module as well as the engine. When he ran his test on the laptop, it didnt report back any error codes or problems. He also checked the fuses which were all fine. He then checked the spark plugs to see if they worked. They seemed to be fine and there was petrol going into the engine. He said the only thing causing the problem could be the immoboliser as the car wasnt recognising the remote locking either. ANy ideas on how much it will cost to repair this?? THanks

If someone can scan it with Peugeot Planet you'll know for sure, i think an imobiliser fault would show up. Can you try another key, is the imobiliser fuse ok?

ALL FIXED!!! Very Happy well.. kinda lol

On the headunit i connected the blue wire to the red one and hey presto, the car fired up!!!! :))) Basically when the break in the blue wires are bridge the car doesnt seem to work, even though thats how it was originally :S

The only problems now are:

that the remote centeral locking doesnt work
the MFD clock/date reset everytime the car is unlocked
when the car is unlocked and the door is opened, it plays some sort of high pitch chime for a sec
