For Europe is shows headquarters not actual place of manufacture.

I've just had a response from my local Peugeot, here is part of the email:

"I can confirm that your vehicle was built in Mulhouse France.This is determined by the last numbers in
the build code.It does vary on how the build number is displayed,but on the white label which is on the
door or door pillar the build code is displayed.The first 5 numbers relate to technical reference and the first
2 of the following number is where it was built.In the case of your vehicle 88 signifies Mulhouse."

i remember last year i request a catalog from dealer and a few day later they phone in and ask me if i want to book in a test drive

There is a guy who works there in service that has helped me out over the years, I asked him this in an email along with some other things. My local Peugeot are pretty good at helping me solve things via email I can't find the answer for on here - so it's not a case of pestering just for that, I pester about multiple things at once
