New list of todo
-> Request a how-to

So Pug didn't sell, surprise :.P I'm gutted it hasn't gone but at the same time thankful it didn't the closer it got to letting it go the more I cleaned and fell in love with it all over again.

New list of to do then.

Changing the rear axle from drum to disk: is this difficult and what are the things I'm going to hit that will cause me a problem?

Tightening Brake Pedal: Brakes are flashing on and off does anyone know how to tighten it where is the nut ect?

Highering rear end: AGAIN

Repairing exhaust: it's blowing.

Install a fuel gauge and engine temp gauge: does anyone know best place for these? Preferably not stupid prices.

So questions are HOW to fix brake pedal, HOW to change Rear Axle.

Thanks Kids :.P

Shall have to check this where is the switch located? It did have afew yea but the one who won was just a reserve bidding warrior making out that he has the cash and wants it but then they won it regretted. End of the day he is getting neg feedback if he doesn't pay the costs of putting it up

If u look under the passenger footwell on the bar that runs down to the brake pedal the should be a switch along it

I think Tom was going to fit a disc axle in place of a drum axle. As far as I know it should have been a straight swap apart from possibly the handbrake cable. I know the garage that did his cocked up a little bit and he ended up with drums on. Might be worth PMing him and asking about the pitfalls.

As Macca said - Nice simple swap supposedly. All you would need to do, additionally, is change the handbrake cables to the longer disc ones. The garage I used thought this would be muchhhh harder than completely stripping the axle, replacing all the bearings, and p*ssing around for 10hours putting drums onto a disc axle...Tits.

I'm confused... How did it not sell? It was at £4,500 last night, with 20odd bids... Hmmm. Wink

someone has done the rear axle swap on here, cnt think of the name? drives a 2ltr hdi

from what i hear its easy and as tom said its just a new cable you need ( as well as the axle lol)

its on my long list of to do as putting on fresh brake pads on drums is a pain in the a**e

as for the sale, soon as it hit 4.500 i knew it wouldnt sell some time wasters out there, car is nice but not £4.500 nice lol cnt even tell what your fuel is on Shocked

Axle is very easy, like said just the same as replacing a disc to disc axle just have to swap the handbrake cables too (need it on ramps really)

If you cant change simple brake shoes you shouldnt really be working on a cars mechanical bits, brake shoes are p**s easy to change.

True it was funny that they bidded £4,500 without even asking a question. But end of the day it is worth alot more to me personally but I think £4,500 shall be a good price with the gauges in :.P in the end the highest bidder was a reserve warrior.
