#1: MI16 ENGINE INTO A 206 Author: sean.r.steward, Location: norfolkPosted: Mon Aug 20, 2012 6:07 pm ---- Hi just out of interest, does any one no of a mi16 engine swap into a 206. i have seen pictures of it done in a 106 . but i cant seem to find it done on a 206 .
also what problems would arise eg

GENERAL WIRING
ENGINE MOUNTS
DRIVE SHAFTS

not to mention those XU9 and XU10 are stone age engine and it will be more and more difficult to find parts to rebuild them.
Even the successor engine EW series was already discontinuous in Europe and replaced by EP series

i think my cbr will stay for filling my speed needs

Still has an ECU like any 206 engine. Why would it pop and bang? Doesnt offer any more power than a 180 engine, little more than a 138 engine and less torque.
Why would the gearbox or driveshafts be a problem?
