just because it says eco mode on the radio doesnt mean it was the radio that drained the battery. are you sure you didn't leave any lights on or anything?

Eco mod turns it off when left on to save the battery

Eco mode cuts in after about 30 mins of something being left on and everything that is turned on goes into standby, but I think it doesn't turn the sidelights off due to safety. I know it turns the interior light and radio off as I wondered what was happening one night and thought the battery had died while I was eating my chips.

Sounds like it's new battery time.

As for ECO MOD this shouldn't happen if the BSI is asleep when the car is locked.

Lee told me once that Eco Mode is a timer based function and doesn't actually refer to the battery voltage. So the above does make sense.

Correct.

If the BSI is asleep which it will be if the car is locked then ECO MOD shouldnt happen.

ECO MOD timer could be set to 30, 10, 15 minutes, depends on which BSI software version the car is running OR if someones gone in to the BSI configuration & fiddled with the setting Laughing
