So after the 180 got a clean bill of health for another 12 months i cant decide if i should sell her on or keep her. Ive looked around and i think the only other car i fancy right now is possibly a type r?

well only you can answer that Q mate as we are all diffrent, i had my 180 gave it to my daughter and got myself a 55 plate ppp scoob only had that 5 mths and got another 180.
to me yes there is alot quicker cars out there but for fun i just love the 180's.
yes i'm old and had plenty of quick cars scoobs, evo's gt4's pulsurs ect ect the 180's are just so much fun for the cash they are hard to beat.

Ive had 3 scoobies so ive got that out my system to be honest. Id like to add an evo to my list but i wouldnt go older than a 5/6 and i dont fancy the running costs with how fuel is.

id say no to a Type R unless its a EC9 or somthing along them lines thats been highly tuned, cuz a 180 can p!$$ all over a Type R standard all day long!

lol yeah i done 5 scoobs did love the old classics but the new ones just did'not have that spark.
i had a 6 TM yes it was nice but tbh like you said the runing cost were unreal (4 mpg on track),the pulsur was great fun but gearbox's fall out very regular but very cheap to buy nowdays and easy to get 300+ out of them.
the gt4 (st 205 shape) was a lovely car and would happly have another but getting hard to find a good one thats not been "played with" also as getting old now i find them quite hard to get in and more so out of lol lol.
i think alot depends on what you want a car for and also where you live, round my way its all A and B roads so the little 180's is just right, but if i was doing alot of duel carrageway or motorway work then no the 180 would have to go in favor of somthing like a R32 golf.

Fair point here , getting a type r wouldn't be an upgrade really and you'd probably be bored of it in a month, people argue the type r is ether than a 180 but they are so over rated (much like the 180 someay argue) but the 180 is a good car and yours looks clean Smile pluss type r's have them stupid gearstick in the midle of the dashboard !! Haha

keep it or go german.

the price of the 180 seems to be going down alot and people are struggling to sell them even fine examples, so if you sold it i dont reckon you would get what you want for it and proberly regret selling it if the car you by after is not what you was hoping.

keep it, save up, by a s3 if thats the car you want
