#1: KEYS and central locking Author: sybiriya, Location: englandPosted: Thu Aug 30, 2012 5:42 pm ---- i have tried for months to get my key to work with my central locking and alarm. i even reprogrammed the keys and tried the method below to sync them.. they just keep flashing at me.
does anyone have another solution for me to try. i have the 2 button key fob . its a 1999 roland garros
so far i have tried
CENTRAL DOOR LOCK with DEADLOCKING (2 BUTTON PLIP KEY)
1. Ensure all doors are unlocked using the key.
2. Press and HOLD the large plip key button while the LED flashes continuously for 20 seconds. After 20 seconds press the small deadlock button once while still holding the large button.
3. The LED will stop flashing.
4. Release the large button and the LED will light constantly.
5. Press the large button once and the LED will go out.
6. Open the door and hold the Plip key near the Ignition switch and press the large plip button once.
7. Turn the ignition ON, wait 10 seconds and then turn the ignition OFF.
8. After 5 seconds the Plip should now operate.
any ideas are welcom.

The BSI software will only allow a certain number of keys to be sync'd. You might have to remove a key that is no longer in use and replace it with the key you are trying to program.

Would it matter at all if changing the circuit for a second hand one could be affecting this. The transponders are the original ones for the car i just bought 2 fobs and the circuit boards came with them, there slightly different in shape but its the same style key and what not.

#6: Re: KEYS and central locking Author: MrBSI, Location: What's it to you? ? ?Posted: Fri Aug 31, 2012 10:38 am ---- I had noticed the prices of some of the com 2000 units from Peugeot for the 206 has nearly doubled recently.
#7: Re: KEYS and central locking Author: Steve180, Location: CoventryPosted: Fri Aug 31, 2012 10:42 am ---- Yeah and a lot of the interior electronics have gone to silly money now (case and point, 206 GLX came in today, needed a BSI, 2 months ago BSI was £266.00 plus coding, today we had to quote nearly £400 + coding!!!!)
Needless to say some things have dropped in price but a lot of the 'common' sales have seen a stupid increase of something like 34% (I haven't worked it out as I can't be bothered but it's around there.)
#8: Re: KEYS and central locking Author: MrBSI, Location: What's it to you? ? ?Posted: Fri Aug 31, 2012 10:44 am ---- Sort of makes me think I want bother getting a 206 for the gf next year then if prices for parts are going up silly amounts like that / parts harder to source from manufacturer.
#9: Re: KEYS and central locking Author: Steve180, Location: CoventryPosted: Fri Aug 31, 2012 10:50 am ---- Yeah I know what you mean. Its stupid because the base cost price hasn't risen, in some cases, its actually fallen!!!
If you need prices for anything, you can always email me: stephen.rendall @ peugeot.com and I'll take a look. I can get parts at huge discounts being staff
