#1: lee-b minor mods UPDATE 11/9/12 Author: lee-b, Location: ScotlandPosted: Tue Sep 04, 2012 3:54 am ---- so i will start by saying that i am new to cars and this forum. as soon as i started looking around this site i imediatly became interested in modding cars so for now i thought i would start out small before getting in too deep :). i have been meaning put this up for a while but every time i decide to do it i end up doing something new and just saying i will wait until that part is on.
so this is my car how i got it its a 2006 206 1.4
i then relised that some modding isnt cheap so started out on the little thing and work my way up when i become more confident in taking my car appart.
i bought a pair of rear black LED light
got them on rather easy
i bought a set of mud-flaps that sat around my house for a few months before i got round to putting them on.
nearing the end of the month i decided to buy new wiper blades some Aerotwins
so i ordered a set of Zunesport grills but unfortunately it would be 4 weeks until they came
i then decided i wanted new alloy wheels. was originaly looking for a set or 17" vortexes but was finding it hard to find some so very few and some of the good ones i found were collection only and i am stuck all the way up here in Scotland.
finally decided to get myself a set of Nims instead managed to pick up a pair for cheap but they had no tyres so had to wait untill end of month to afford some.
finally end of month came and got some tyres.
with alloys on i revived a phone call from zunesport on Friday saying that my grills were ready and will be here on Monday.
so i rushed home from work like an excited child to get tinkering with it.
NOTE: it took me from when i got home 6ish untill about 9 oclock to do it. gona say its cuz was my first time haha :L
out with the old and in with the new.
starting to get dark now
but finally on. now just to put bumper back on.
and finished
need to take more pictured now that its day as i was in a rush this morning.
my next things i am doing is
fitting a set of Morettes
de badging the rear
Tinting the back 3 windows
Getting gloss black mirrors
and LED rear fod light and 3rd break light. Last edited by lee-b on Tue Sep 11, 2012 1:35 pm; edited 2 times in total

#3: Re: lee-b minor mods Author: lee-b, Location: ScotlandPosted: Tue Sep 04, 2012 6:43 am ---- i was planin on lowering it but there is alot of bad speed bumps where i stay so atm i am in two minds
#4: Re: lee-b minor mods Author: DeadEyePaul, Location: Rugby,WarwickshirePosted: Tue Sep 04, 2012 6:48 am ---- Don't have to go ultra low. I have a lot of bumps here, and I'm lowered 30 at the back and the front to match

#6: Re: lee-b minor mods Author: lee-b, Location: ScotlandPosted: Tue Sep 04, 2012 7:49 am ---- i am planning on getting vortexes at some point so if i was to lowered it 30 would they still be a comfortable fit?

A black bonnet would go well with the tints, mirrors and wheels...I reckon anyways..

#10: Re: lee-b minor mods Author: lee-b, Location: ScotlandPosted: Wed Sep 05, 2012 5:11 am ---- so in keeping with my car do you guys think a black spoiler would look good or same colour as my car?
#11: Re: lee-b minor mods Author: 206boyracer, Location: Sunny CornwallPosted: Wed Sep 05, 2012 6:54 am ---- Looks nice. I like the black nims. I would only do your spoiler black of your planning on spraying your roof black. Otherwise I think it will look like you just stuck it on and haven't repainted it. In my opinion anyway.
I agree needs lowering. You don't have to drop it much to make a difference. 30mm will probably be ok for speed bumps. Mine is about 60mm and I have a splitter on the front. I don't have many problems with speed bumps. Only my exhaust clamps catch now and again.
Looks like your going for the black silver theme like me. I'm after some of those lights when funds permit. Lol.
#12: Re: lee-b minor mods Author: anton1989, Location: west midlandsPosted: Wed Sep 05, 2012 2:08 pm ---- as above black spolier only with black roof
would mask your fogs and headlights black aswell
car looks nice mate
should have gone with black grills though
#13: Re: lee-b minor mods Author: lee-b, Location: ScotlandPosted: Thu Sep 06, 2012 5:24 am ---- ok thanks i am waiting for morettes so not going to mask head lights need to do my fog lights at some point tho. i have seen a few silver 206's in my area with black grills and i am not really a big fan of them plus only really decided to go silver and black after i ordered them haha. weather permitting i think i might paint my callipers this weekend. i do have a silver spoiler just not got round to fitting it yet.
#14: Re: lee-b minor mods UPDATE 10/9/12 Author: lee-b, Location: ScotlandPosted: Mon Sep 10, 2012 3:27 am ---- right so i had big plans this weekend. was going to fit some morettes paint callipers and give my car a nice clean
i finally decided to paint my callipers and being no artist the last time i picked up a paint brush was my 3rd year in secondary school in art so i though i would no doubt make a mess of it.
but hey i managed to get them painted fine with very little mess
in between coat were drying i thought i would put in my new lights
but had a few problems and not had time to fix it so i still have my crystals on ATM as was going to do it last night but started raining s**t Scottish weather.

#17: Re: lee-b minor mods UPDATE 10/9/12 Author: lee-b, Location: ScotlandPosted: Tue Sep 11, 2012 1:32 pm ---- the plan was yesterday to rush home from work and fix my lights as Iainlovatt told me how to wire them up correctly (cheers) but came out from work to this
beaten by classic Scottish weather again.
But today is a new day and bright and sunny i managed to get them all wired up correctly and fit nice in place
