#1: Stop light flashing Author: BC29, Posted: Wed Sep 05, 2012 12:55 pm ---- Hi, Bought a 02 206 on Sunday and had to have part of the exhaust replaced today and now the Stop light is flashing. Could this be cause of the exhaust or do I need to go to a garage straight away and stop driving it? Need it to get to work tommorow!

Which part of the exhaust was replaced? Possibly damaged or forgot to reconnect a sensor on the front pipe.
You could always get the codes read to see what it says is the fault.

A 2002 car that has never had the BSI software updated it could be your answer

You need Peugeot Planet diag kit to see which version of the software package is installed.
Only Peugeot main dealers can update the BSI software package.

Sounds like its still running the original BSI software version it had installed at the factory

You can get this information from Peugeot Service Box BUT you would need to pay for this information, its not in the FREE part of Service Box.
Its easier to just get the BSI & engine ecu software updated at a Peugeot main dealer, either 30 mins or an hours labour charge.
