#1: Metal clunking/grinding noise Author: mdstone, Location: South WalesPosted: Thu Sep 06, 2012 2:31 am ---- I have a strange metal clunking/grinding noise (kind of like a buckle clunking in a washing machine) coming from under the car. You can only here it at lower speeds but also when stationary if you put your foot on the accelerator and let go. Sounds like something to do with the exhaust perhaps but I haven't really got a clue, help anyone?
